Surf City Soroptimists of Huntington Beach Celebrate Thanksgiving 365 Days a Year

Surf City Soroptimists of Huntington Beach want to remind you that although we only celebrate Thanksgiving one day a year that giving thanks should be something we all do every day.  Think about it…What are you thankful for today?

I am thankful for my health and the health of my loved ones
I am thankful for the fact I live in the United States where we enjoy more freedom than many, particularly women, in other parts of the world.
I am thankful for my friends and my Soroptimist Sisters who share the same vision as I do…that all women and girls will have the resources and opportunities to reach their full potential and live their dreams.
I am thankful for sunny days.
I am thankful for beautiful cloud formations that allow my creativity and imagination to run wild.
I am thankful for my curiosity which led me to find out what other holidays are celebrated in November…and they are:

Bittersweet Chocolate with Almonds Day – November 7
National Pizza with the Works Except Anchovies Day – November 12
National Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day – November 15
National Button Day – November 16 (created in 1938 to celebrate button collecting as a hobby)
National Take a Hike Day – November 17
National Absurdity Day – November 20
National Flossing Day – November 25
National Stay at Home Because You Are Well Day – November 30

I could go on but, now it’s your turn…As I asked above: What are you thankful for today?
