About Soroptimists of Huntington Beach
Soroptimist is an international organization of women who work to improve the lives of women and girls. Soroptimist women, therefore, help other women and girls by giving them the resources to create positive change—for themselves, their families, their communities and the world. In more than 120 countries and territories throughout the world, almost 100,000 Soroptimist members help women and girls live their dreams each and every day.
Right here, in our community, SIHB has a strong, growing member base of dedicated women participating in a variety of programs throughout the year. We rely on contributions from our members and our community. These tax deductible contributions help us sustain our level of commitment to our “Dream” programs and, also, other non profits with similar objectives.

Throughout the year, we have many opportunities for you to help us reach our goals:
Leap Into Service…for Women & Girls – our annual wine tasting & silent auction – November 1
Bunco & Left/Center/Right Game Nights
Program Meetings – the 4th Thursday of every month (dinner meeting) except November, December, July & August
Murder Mystery Dinner – Spring 2019
Walk to Make a Difference – June 2019
General Donation – anytime
Your contributions will help us:
- Increase the number of women who receive cash, Live Your Dream Awards
- Expand the number of women who attend our Woman’s Day of Empowerment with Soroptimist International – Huntington Beach
- Continue our Dream It Be It Program in partnership with Olive Crest and Soroptimist International Newport Harbor Area designed to assist at risk teenage girls (13-17) in shaping their futures
- Donate more and expand the number of local and international charitable organizations that help improve the lives of women and girls that we support
Soroptimist International of Huntington Beach (SIHB) holds two meetings each month, September through June. All Program Meetings are open to the public. Business Meetings are for members and potential members. Several special award and fundraising functions occur annually to which the public is always welcome to attend.
