Surf City Soroptimists, their families and their friends, saw, swirled, sniffed, sipped and savored three wines from wineshopathome hosted by independent wine consultant, Patty McShane last night to raise funds and awareness to our mission of improving the lives of women and girls.
In accordance with CDC guidelines, we practiced social distancing by holding this event virtually this year but…that did not stop us from having a lot of fun!
The program began with a few words about Soroptimist from our president, Linda, who also introduced our guest speaker, Mireya, a former Live Your Dream honoree and one of our current adopted moms for our 2020-2021 years. Mireya spoke from her heart and talked about the impact our club has made on her life and the lives of her 3 young sons.
Mireya was followed by our awesome Director of Fundraiser, Georgette, who always provides us and our guests with an entertaining evening.
And, it was! Patty not only provided information on the wines, wine pairing and recipes but also delighted us with her humor.
