Surf City Soroptimists of Huntington Beach wish you and your loved ones a happy healthy Easter, Passover or Ramadan celebration.
Sunday marks the first time in 33 years that the Jewish holiday of Passover, Muslim holiday of Ramadan and Christian holiday of Easter fall on the same date in the calendar.
April 9, 2023 is the 4th day of Passover (Jewish Observance). April 9, 2023 is the 18th day of Ramadan (Muslim Obsrvance) and April 9, 2023 is the Christian holiday of Easter.
“Passover is about a feast. Easter Sunday is a feast. And Ramadan even, every night, is a feast. They come together with food,” Rev. Mike Cruickshank, an associate pastor at St. Andrews Cathedral, said. “That is also a celebration with God. We bring ourselves together in community.” (source: msn.com)
And according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, spring is: “a time or season of growth or development
specifically : the season between winter and summer comprising in the northern hemisphere usually the months of March, April, and May or as reckoned astronomically extending from the March equinox to the June solstice”
